Director Product Marketing, Security

A self-starter who is responsible for source marketing content and sales enablement. This team performs the critical task of bridging the gaps between technology, selling, and realizing value. Reporting to the Head of Marketing/CEO, the Director of Product Marketing will be involved in all aspects of Acalvio’s global effort to position and sell its security capabilities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Create source messaging and positioning concepts and documents of all types in support of product launches and updates
  • Create sales enablement (training content) for both Acalvio and our channel partners, for both sales professionals and technical sales
  • Work directly with Product Managers and Engineering to understand product details and value, to drive the product marketing process.
  • Work directly and with channel to drive messages and content
  • Work directly with Sales, channel partners, and customers to position our offerings, and solicit feedback for improvement.
  • Suggest innovative approaches to product marketing that will better explain and differentiate our offering
  • Maintain a level of familiarity with competing offerings for deception

Education and Experience Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product marketing for enterprise security.
  • Familiar with the personas and relevant expectations of IT Security buyers
  • Excellent English written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to distill complex subjects into simple messages and value statements
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic environment with a broad number of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • College degree in Marketing/Business/Technical area
  • Desirable: Experience positioning endpoint security (PC, Mac, Mobile), or with regulatory compliance
  • Desirable: Experience in Sales, Technical Sales, Product Management, or Demand Generation
  • Desirable: Additional language skills; strong verbal communication skills; graphic arts/creative skills
